Small pleasures
A matcha latte held in two hands, milk tea with cinnamon, ice cream cones in a window, a glass of spiced wine.
Not every good moment is a view. Many of them fit in a cup.
Two hands hold a matcha latte, the colour soft and green. A cup of milk tea is topped with cinnamon, something familiar to anyone who has spent time in Taiwan. Ice cream cones line up in a shop window, a promise more than a purchase. A glass of hot spiced wine sits with orange and cinnamon, the kind of drink that belongs to cold evenings.
Photographs like these are easy to dismiss as decoration, but they record something real about daily life: the small rewards people give themselves between work and rest. They also reward the same care as any landscape, with soft light, a clean background and attention to texture.
These are not grand subjects. They are the parts of a day people actually remember.
